Saturday, August 30th
8 a.m. - 1 p.m. Check-in for all new resident students at your assigned Residence Hall
11:30 a.m. -1 p.m. Brunch at Fox Dining Hall. You and your family members can enjoy lunch either after you have unpacked your belongings or when you get hungry. The dining hall is open until 1:30 p.m.
1:30 p.m. Floor Meetings for all Residential Students in your hall. These required meetings will give you an opportunity to get to know your Resident Advisor (RA) and other Residence Hall staff members and your floor mates. You will receive valuable information and tips for a successful start to your first year.
4:30 - 6:30 p.m. Dinner at Fox Dining Hall
7 - 8:30 p.m.  Damien the Hypnotist in the Campus Recreation Center. Damien's hypnotist shows are completely interactive with the audience and 15 to 20 volunteer on-stage participants who are hypnotized to perform different skits for a unique, dynamic and exciting form of transcendental comedic entertainment.
8:30 -11:30 p.m. Casino Night at the Campus Recreation Center. Come and take a chance at the black jack table, the roulette wheel or any number of other games. Play with "UML Bucks" and potentially win valuable prizes at the end. With music, food and an oxygen bar to compliment the games, this will be a great night.
Sunday, August 31st
10 - 11 a.m..

Religious Services: Catholic Center Mass; Protestant Worship at the Campus Rec. Center Atrium

11 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. Brunch at Fox Hall
1 - 2 p.m. Ed Gerety, Campus Recreation Center. College Crossroads: Finding Your Way to a Successful First Year, at the Campus Recreation Center. Ed's high-energy, humorous and interactive one-hour keynote is guaranteed to keep you focused and interested. Ed directly addresses the issues that first year students encounter and is sure to make you think.
2:30 - 3:30 p.m.

Ultimate Road Trip, Campus Recreation Center. Puts first-year students in the fast lane on the college highway to success with tips on time management, establishing good relationships with professors, developing skills and characteristics that will benefit them during and after their time at UMass Lowell. 

4:30 p.m. BBQ, Band "Benedict Arnold" and a Mini-Carnival on the Campus Recreation Center Lawn. Come have dinner, make a trucker hat or spin art, listen to some great music and play ultimate Frisbee.
7 p.m. DODGEBALL!!! location TBA. You've seen the movie, you've played the game in school, now come and try your hand at a massive tournament. Great prizes for the winning team! See your ARD for more information.
10 p.m. Outdoor Movie: Harold and Kumar marathon, Location TBA.
Monday, September 1st
11 a.m.. -12:30 p.m. Brunch at Fox Dining Hall and South Dining Hall
1 p.m. Travis Roy, Campus Recreation Center. Paralyzed from the neck down within the first 11 seconds of his first Boston University hockey game Travis’ life changed forever. Travis will speak on conquering life’s obstacles, finding meaning and success in spite of the obstacles placed in front of you.
2 - 2:30 p.m. Break-- water and granola bars, Campus Recreation Center
2:30 - 3:30 p.m. Ultimate Money Skills: Scholars, Dollars, Budgets and Bills, Campus Recreation Center. This is a dynamic and energetic presentation about how the choices you make about money while in college can have a direct impact on your future financial success and help you make better decisions throughout your life.
4 p.m. Free Time!!! Make the most of your time: meet new friends, go to the bookstore, continue to settle into your room. It's your time -- enjoy!
5 p.m. Dinner at Fox Dining Hall and South Dining Hall
7 p.m. Bingo!, Cumnock Hall Auditorium. This is not your grandmother's bingo game! We play for big prizes (TV, DVD player, Wii, xBox, iPod have been included in past prizes). Come play, have some laughs and possibly walk away a big winner.
Tuesday, September 2nd
10 - 11:30 a.m. Convocation at the Campus Recreation Center
11:30 a.m. - 1 p.m. BBQ Lunch, Club Fair, and DJ on the Campus Recreation Center Lawn. It's a beautiful day for lunch outside ... add a bit of music and a few fun activities and you have a great event. Mingle with your Dean and faculty members. The rain location for this event is Fox Dining Hall.
1 - 5 p.m. Get ready for classes!! Buy your books, see Financial Aid, finalize anything you need to before classes begin tomorrow. The shuttle bus is running today to accommodate your needs and the lines will only grow tomorrow. University offices open until 5 p.m..
5:30 p.m. Riverhawks on the Roof, Band "Stealing Jane" on top floor of the UML East Garage. Dinner out on the roof of the garage, overlooking the stadium, with great music and items being given away -- this is Riverhawks on the Roof. Come and kick off the fall season with the Ice Hockey Team and other athletes!
Wednesday, September 3rd ~ First day of classes!!
7:30 - 9:30 a.m. Commuter Breakfast, Riverside Parking Lot (UML North). Hey North Commuters! Come and get a free travel mug, information, coffee or tea and a pastry to start your day!
11 a.m. -2 p.m. Novelty items in Southwick Dining Hall and McGauvran Student Center.
Thursday, September 4th
7:30 - 9:30 a.m. Commuter Breakfast, Riverview Parking Lot (UML South). Hey South Commuters! Today it's your turn for a free travel mug, information, coffee or tea and a pastry. Come and get it!
11 a.m.-2 p.m. Novelty items in Southwick Dining Hall and McGauvran Student Center
2 - 8 p.m. Blood Drive, Fox Hall Multipurpose Room
8 p.m. -Midnight The Common's Great Re-Opening, 1st floor of Fox Hall, free food
Friday, September 5th
8 p.m. Comedian Mike Birbiglia, Campus Rec. Center. You have laughed with him on Comedy Central, the Conan O’Brien Show and even the Late Show with David Letterman. Now see him at UMass Lowell. Tickets will be $8* for students, $20 for the General Public.
Saturday, September 6th
All Day White Water Rafting Trip. Sign up at the Campus Rec. Center. Cost is $60 per student.
Friday, September 12th
8 p.m.

Marc Broussard Concert, Board Housing Park, Lowell. Students, $15*

*There is a combo ticket package available - only $20 for students for a ticket to both the comedy show and the concert. Tickets available at the Student Information Centers in Southwick Hall and the McGauvran Student Center.
