The Graduate School of Education is seeking an assistant to work with the TEAMS Academy. TEAMS provides high school juniors and seniors with the opportunity to complete undergraduate science and engineering courses at UMass Lowell. The administrative assistant will work with the Project Director on the organizational and budgetary aspects of the project, including invoicing, time keeping, brochure development, and meeting organization, managing admissions & registration, managing subsidiary programs, and developing/writing content for proposal, brochures, grants and web. The position requires the ability to (i) write clearly, (ii) interact professionally with parents, faculty and other members of the public and (iii) maintain accurate records of tasks (iv) use advanced features in Microsoft Word, Excel, and related software packages. Work schedule is flexible, not to exceed 18 hours per week. Bachelor’s degree required. Business and/or marketing experience desired. High school teaching experience desired, preferably in a technical area. The expected compensation will be commensurate with experience. No benefits.
