Attention all Graduate Students! Join us for a "Welcome Back to Campus" reception, followed by the first Graduate Student Association Meeting of the year. Enjoy some great food and learn about how to start a new graduate student club, meet members of existing clubs, register your club, and see what the GSA offers the Graduate Student community.

The Campus Recreation Center will be hosting a 2-Day NETA Personal Training Certification Class. If you register through the CRC you will be able to receive a discounted price of $299 for the certification class (normally $399). NETA does recommend that you purchase their study manual for the exam which costs $45.
Come one! Come all! Beautify your neighborhood! The Revolving Museum will be hosting its last outdoor event of the summer at Harmony Park located in Lowell's Acre neighborhood. Plant flowers, participate in art-making workshops, and enjoy refreshments. This is a free event for the whole family.

The Campus Recreation Center Fall Group Fitness Schedule is now available online on the Campus Recreation Center Website. CRC Group Fitness Classes are free for all full time faculty/staff, students, CRC alumni, & CRC members.
Open Auditions for the Off-Broadway Players' 2 fall shows, The Pillowman and A Midsummer Night's Dream. No experience required. All students, alumni, faculty, and staff are welcome to audition. Performance dates for Pillowman are Oct. 16-19; for A Midsummer Night's Dream, Dec. 4-7. (You must be available on these dates to be cast in the show.)
Original illustrations by Timothy Basil Ering. This series of 24 original illustrations from his popular children's book, "The Story of Frog Belly Rat Bone," tells the tale of a boy who finds strange, speck-like treasures, and the unforgettable creature who watches over them while they grow. With subtle, delicate tones, fantastical creatures, and bursts of glowing color, the surreal artwork conveys all the whimsy of an inspired imagination. Books will be available for signing. Illusionist Jason Bishop takes magic into the 21st century. Bishop is an international, award-winning illusionist who one moment may pluck a goldfish out of nowhere and another moment have a human body pass through his own. UML faculty, staff, students and alumni with valid UML ID or ID number are offered a half-price discount ($6) for this one-of-a-kind show.

Selected Works by Blake Shirley features large-scale paintings that straddle that curious space between figuration's story telling and abstraction's crashing waves of paint. These stylistic shifts create a sense of impermanence that references the history of painting and investigates how we exist in a state of flux. The series evolved as a reaction to the intricacies and complexities of life. Exhibit runs 10/14-11/6. Gallery Hours: Mon - Thurs 11 - 4.

"Grid by Jamey Morrill" is a modular site-specific installation made of PVC pipe and wood. Its floor-based, interconnected forms use a pared down aesthetic to represent engineering projects such as aqueducts, electrical substations and oil refineries. It is intended as a tribute to the natural evolution of complex infrastructure from simple forms. Exhibit runs 11/17-12/11. Gallery Hours: Mon - Thurs 11 - 4 .
